Discussion of Treatment of Women in _Their Eyes Were Watching God_

So we're back from our break from the blog, and we are looking at Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God. I want you to discuss (with text support) some of the ways women are treated in the text, and what Hurston's trying to say about the treatment of women. Stevens and Moore...

One thing that Stevens and Moore share is a love of the lyric line. Compare one poem from each author in regards to the sound elements that exist. Where are the intersections? Where are the divergencies? How is sound used in each? Look at them line by line to come up with a coherent answer.
